Steam Points Calculator
How many Steam Points a purchase earns, and how much you would have to spend to afford an item in the Points Shop. One rule, both directions.
- 1Pick your wallet currencyThe rate is different per currency, not a conversion of the dollar figure.
- 2Type what you spendGame price, DLC, an in-game item from the Store. Community Market buys and wallet top-ups earn nothing. Points round down.
- 3Check the shopWhich items your points cover, and how far you are from the next one.
What that buys
typical prices, approximateThe rate depends on your wallet currency
Steam grants points on Store purchases — games, DLC, hardware and in-game Store items; not Community Market trades, and not the money you add to the wallet itself — at a rate Valve states in your wallet’s own currency, and the rates are not a straight conversion of each other. The banner on the Points Shop shows yours when you are signed in. Rates we have read there ourselves carry a date; the others are what guides repeat, and the calculator says so when you pick them.
- PLN: 134 points per 5.00 zł
- read on Valve's Points Shop banner on 2026-09-05
- USD: 100 points per 1.00 $
- not yet read on Valve's page in this currency
- EUR: 112 points per 1.00 €
- not yet read on Valve's page in this currency
If your wallet is in USD or EUR and the banner on your Points Shop shows a different figure, the banner is right and this page is behind.
What points are not
Points are not a currency. They cannot be traded, sold, gifted as points or cashed out; they buy items in the Points Shop and Steam Awards for other people’s reviews, and that is all. A number of points has no price in money, which is why this page shows what a spend earns and what an item needs — and no “worth”.
Points buy profile cosmetics — which is the same surface a profile check reads. Cosmetics do not change a credibility score; the public facts behind the profile do.
