Steam Login From Another Country: Was It You, and What to Do

A login from a country you have never visited is either your own sign-in placed wrongly on the map or someone who got as far as your password. The four places Steam shows a login, why the country can come out wrong, how to tell an attempt from a break-in, and Steam Support's own order of steps.

Steam Comment Character Limit: 1,000, Formatting and Art

How to Bind Keys in CS2: Syntax, Toggles and Aliases

A bind is a key and the command it runs. The syntax, toggles, plus and minus aliases, the binds Valve switched off in August 2024, where CS2 keeps your keys on disk, and which lines worked when we typed them into the game.

How Does Steam Track Playtime? Offline, AFK and Refunds

Why Can't I Comment on a Steam Profile? The Causes, in Order

No comment box, or a comment that will not go through? Work down the causes in order, from the profile owner's settings to limits Valve never puts a number on.

Steam Market Fees Explained: Rates and Estimates

Valve lists a 5% Steam fee and a further 10% for Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2. What the buyer pays, what the seller keeps, and where our euro calculator's estimates stop being Valve's rules.

CS2 Reaction Time: Understanding Different Measurements

A click test, first movement, first shot and time to kill stop the clock at different events. What each one measures, what a short interval does not prove, and what to check before comparing your number with anyone else's.

CS2 Launch Options Explained: What Still Works and What Is Dead Weight

Most launch-options lists were written for CS:GO. Of the 26 flags we track, ten carry an outdated label (two with hard evidence, eight for lack of CS2 documentation), four are unconfirmed either way, and none comes with a measured FPS gain. Here is which is which, and where each label comes from.

How Old Is Your Steam Account? Where the Date Lives and What It Changes

The creation date sits in one badge tooltip and disappears from view on a private profile. Waiting does not lift Steam's new-account limits, spending does, but the date is a record the owner cannot set. How to read it and what it really tells you.

Mouse Polling Rate: What the Number Means and Why a Browser Test Can Show Your Screen

A 1000 Hz mouse reports every millisecond; a checker that does not unfold the browser's events shows your monitor's refresh rate instead. The standard rates in milliseconds, and what 8000 Hz costs, quoted from the company that sells it.

Steam ID Explained: Four Forms of One Number, and How They Convert

SteamID64, SteamID3, STEAM_0 and the account ID are four ways of writing the same account number. The arithmetic on a worked example, the rounding fault that turns …930 into …940, and why a custom URL is a name, not an ID.

CS2 Crosshair Settings: What Each Command Actually Changes

The 22-23 September 2026 update rebuilt the crosshair: length, thickness and gap are pixels, the gap no longer goes negative, and the style list runs 0 to 8. The commands, the ranges and the defaults, read from the game's own convar table for build 2000915.

Steam Points: What You Earn, What You Can Buy, What Changed in 2026

Valve converts every purchase to dollars before counting points, so the rate outside the US drifts with the exchange rate. Plus the January 2026 change most guides missed: awards no longer pass points to anyone.

Can You Check Your Trust Factor in CS2? No. Here's What Checkers Actually Read

Valve: 'Currently there is no way to check your Trust Factor.' Every checker reads public profile fields and borrows the name. What those fields are, and how sure anyone can be.

Reports, Ban Waves and Trust Factor: How the Pipeline Actually Behaves

Bans do not trickle, they arrive in waves. The last 180 days of estimated ban dates across our pool, the day that beat the median 66 times over, and 93 bans that were reversed.

How to Improve Your Trust Factor in CS2: What Valve Confirms, What We Measured

Valve confirmed three levers in writing. Guides added twelve more without a source. We measured what banned accounts share across 19.9 million profiles, and built a plan you can verify.

New Steam Account, Low Trust Factor? What Valve Says and What 19 Million Profiles Show

A blank account is not a punished account. Valve's own words, the folklore around fresh accounts, and the creation-year chart from our study, where this year is a thin sliver.

Account Age, Steam Level and Trust Factor: What's On Valve's List and What Isn't

Age has a paper trail. Level does not, and we have no data on it either, so we say so. The private-profile trap that hides the one field you cannot fake.

Does Queuing With a Low Trust Factor Friend Hurt Yours?

Your match is affected, in writing. Your score is another question. Plus the one measurement we could make about company, with a control group so it means something.

That Yellow Trust Factor Warning in CS2: What It Says and What It Doesn't

The most misread sentence in CS2. It compares two hidden numbers and reports which is smaller. It does not say your friend is red, and not seeing it does not make you green.

Does Trust Factor Go Up With Commends in CS2?

Valve's FAQ lists behaviour, reports and bans. It does not name commends, and we sell them. What can honestly be said, from a team that has sold commends since 2013.

Red Trust Factor CS2 Fix: What Actually Works

What puts accounts in red, the three things that get them out, and why anyone promising 'green in X days' is lying to you.

Why Free CS2 Commends Will Ruin Your Account

Free commends run on two business models: phishing your Steam login, or turning your account into part of the bot farm. Neither has you as the customer.

How the Steam Workshop Decides What Gets Seen

Ratings, subscribers, favorites, and the windowed popularity sorts that multiply them. The Workshop's visibility signals, explained by the team that seeds them.

Steam Groups: Member Counts, and the URL Trap Nobody Warns You About

Delete a group and its name goes back in the pool. /groups/steamdeck currently belongs to a one-member group called Valheim. How to find the address that cannot be reassigned, and how to count any group's members without a tool.

Steam Hour Boost: How Sessions Actually Work

Every hour boost delivers the hours. What separates them is what your account looks like while they arrive — the login location, how many titles run at once, and who wins when you open Steam yourself.
