Public profileSteam returns the creation timestamp. We show the date, the calendar age and the profile name.

How it works

  1. Paste any form of the profile: a link, a custom URL name, a SteamID64 or a STEAM_0 string. Conversion happens in your browser.
  2. Our server asks Steam’s public Web API for the profile summary — one call, and only when the answer is not already cached.
  3. The creation date comes back with the age worked out on a calendar: years, months, days.

Why some profiles show no date

Steam omits the creation date for profiles set to private or friends-only. There is no way around that and this tool does not pretend there is — it says the profile is private. The owner can make it visible under Profile → Edit Profile → Privacy Settings. A found date is remembered for a day; a private answer for an hour, so a profile opened up shows its date soon after.

What account age does and does not tell you

Age is one public fact. An old account is more likely to have a history behind it; it is not, on its own, a sign of anything about the person. It is also one of the signals a Steam profile check weighs — alongside activity, community records and what the profile shows — which is where a single number becomes a picture.

Questions people ask

Is the date accurate?

It is the date Steam records for the account and returns in its own API. The years-and-months figure is counted on a calendar, so a leap day or a short month does not shift it.

Can I check my own account?

Yes — paste your profile link. If your profile is private you will see that instead of a date; switch it to public for a minute if you want the number.

Why is there a lookup limit?

Each lookup that is not cached is a call to Steam on our key, and that key has a daily budget shared with the profile checker. Signing in raises the hourly allowance; a pass raises it further.
